Our Parmesan Chicken Wings are super easy to make, just marinate, fry, and coat in a delicious sauce! They make a great dinner or footy-watching-game-day feast.
Not a fan of deep frying? Our Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings can also be cooked in the oven. Place the wings on a rack and bake at 200C/400F for 35-40 minutes, turning halfway through cooking, then place your wings under the grill/broiler to crisp them up.
This Chicken Wings recipe makes 4 serves. The serving size is approximately 250g.
Store leftover Parmesan Chicken Wings in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 200C/400F oven for 10-20 minutes.
Parmesan Chicken Wings Ingredients
- 1kg of Chicken Wings, cut into wingettes and drumettes
- 2 teaspoons of Salt
- 1 teaspoon of Pepper, ground
- 1 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper, ground
- Sauce Ingredients:
- ⅓ cup of Butter, melted
- ⅓ cup Parmesan Cheese, finely grated
- 2 tablespoons of Parsley, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons of Garlic Powder
- Salt, to taste
- Extra Parmesan Cheese, to serve.
How to Make Parmesan Chicken Wings
- Place the wingettes and drumettes in a large mixing bowl and add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- Place the wings in the fridge and leave to marinate overnight.
- Heat your deep fryer to 180C/355F.
- Fry the chicken wings in batches until they are golden brown, crispy and cooked through (ensure you cook similar sized pieces together. Cooking times will vary depending on the size of your wings (test with a meat thermometer or cut into the largest one to check).
- In a large heat resistant bowl, add the melted butter, parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, and additional salt, if using.
- Toss the cooked wings into the buttery-parmesan mixture.
- Place the wings onto a platter and sprinkle with extra parmesan.
- Serve and enjoy!
